Daddy's spending 3 weeks in Korea in a tent. We're spending a lot of time trying to think of fun, creative things to do without spending a lot of money. Yes, Honey, you're welcome. Today, we decided to create our own tent, Putthoff style.

A king size fitted sheet, 4 dining room chairs, a sleeping bag, extra blankets and lots of pillows- pretty cozy. Mary got her first experience with a sleeping bag. Her first thought was, "Why?" Hee,hee. My thoughts exactly. I'm not much of a camper. My idea of "roughing it" is a cabin- with no air condition. I don't think of myself as spoiled or a "princess". I just like to be comfortable. We opened it up to make a fluffy sleeping pad for all of us to share. I think Mary got a little claustrophobic when I zipped her up in it. Maybe I shouldn't have covered her head (just kidding). She told me tonight that I was welcome to sleep in "the bag". Thanks, but no thanks, Dear. I prefer my bed.

Adam had a great time exploring and trying to touch the "ceiling". Yes, he's holding that enormous Marine Corps key chain. Maybe he was thinking that if he didn't like tent living, he'd high tail it outta there to the closest hotel.

Now I know how Adam feels walking amongst the big people. Whoa. Scary world.

And you know, every tent has to have a life raft attached...for those "just in case" moments. Adam wasn't behaving appropriately and was sent off the plank and had to ride along side the tent. Ahh, a fun tent experience that took longer to construct and deconstruct than actual play time. Oh well, it helped fill the void. Hmm, is it time to go shopping again?
