curious baby

I have to remember that Mary now has a very long reach. And if she can't reach it, she pulls up a chair and climbs on that to get to what she wants. Very smart. Anyway, I left my coffee sitting on my place mat and went to put the breakfast dishes in the kitchen. I came back and she's standing on my chair leaning over my coffee mug, both hands are wet and there are puddles on the table and chair. Thank goodness it was only luke warm. I looked at her and said, "have you been in my coffee?" She smiled, licked her fingers and went," Ahhhhhhh". Such trouble. Oh no, I hear her messing with the salt and pepper shaker...she's on my chair again! Bye!

It seems like once the curiosity button has been turned on, there is no way to turn it off. I think it even functions in their sleep. Has Mary woken up and had that gleem in her eye immediately and made a bee-line for something that she normally shies away from? I know Gus and Carli both have that problem, it ends up being a heck of a day. That button works 24/7. By the way, have you found the other shoe?

Thank goodness, NO. At least not yet. She always needs a little time to wake up. She's ultra cuddly and just wants to be held. It's after about 15 min. that she starts exploring.
