Let me start off this post by letting everyone know that we have NOT found the shoe. It has vanished to the magical land of lost shoes...I wonder if they hang out with the missing socks?
Most of you probably know that Mary and I attend "Lapsit" at the library on Fridays. We were introduced to it in August and love the time to interact with other children, read books and play with toys. Well, they only take 15 children and you have to sign up every month even if you're currently in the class. Can you see where this story is headed? I didn't sign up in time in Sept. for the October class. By the time I signed up, the class was full and we were placed on the "wait list". How dare they? We're regulars! I felt so bad. Like I had let her down. Anyway, we went to the library yesterday (Thursday) to check out some books for me and we ran into the teacher of the class. She said she was so excited about this month, since they'll read Halloween books and all the kids will come in their costumes. I told her that we wouldn't be there since we're on the wait list. She said "oh no, Mary has to be there." She pulled out her attendance roster, found our names and moved us to up to the list as number 16. She said, "you don't mind if it's a little crowded do you?" Heck no, I was thrilled. So this morning, off to Lapsit we went and had a grand ole time. Yea! It worked out too, since not everyone showed up, there were only 10 kids there (including Mary). I only told one mother because she knew I was wait listed and wondered why we were there. I don't want the teacher to get in trouble or for word to get out that Mary's the teacher's pet. I promise we'll be there when the doors open on October 15th to sign up for November.
Thanks Gramma Mesta for making the beautiful dress. She got many, many compliments. She even held still and let me french braid her hair.
