Foreman Adam is turning one. It's time to party and have some fun! The Putthoff Construction Company assembled a crew for a celebration on Saturday. Thankfully, we were blessed with a gorgeous day, lots of friends and very few fights.

We had lots of games for the kids. There was the Hard Hat area where they could put foam stickers on their construction hat. The Design Station for coloring construction vehicles that I printed on-line. Toss the Boulder involved throwing bean bags into buckets. We had a Guess the Number of m&m's in the water bottle to win. And Pin the Rock on the truck, though we ran out of time and frankly, I forgot about it. I think everyone had a good time.
Our construction son (he wouldn't keep the hat on).
Our construction daughter.
Our construction family. (Doug's eyes are open, but he's been living with me so long, he's starting to turn Asian! Now we really look like a family.) :)

The cake. This turned out really well, considering I'm a non-baker, non-decorator. I started with a triple chocolate cake, added chocolate fudge icing, crushed vanilla oreos for the "dirt" and regular oreos for the "asphalt". I found these great construction sign lollipops from Oriental Trading Co.
Cake time! Yes, his bib says "Chicks Dig Me". Thought it was appropriate for the theme.
Thought it was funny that he picked up the whole scoop of ice cream in one bite.
Aaughhhh!!!! Brain Freeze!!!
"Bye-bye" Thank you to all our friends who helped make this a special day. Adam didn't want it to end...no really, he wouldn't take a nap.
