We've been really busy trying to get things done around the house, but we took a quick break to attend the 2nd annual Pirate Potluck at Mary's school tonight. In case you haven't guessed it, their mascot is the pirate. We got to dress up in our finest pirate gear and enjoy some good food and camaraderie. Luckily, there was no walking the plank. Arrgh!
He looks like a deck swabber if I've ever seen one. Someone, get that boy a mop!
The eye patch with the pirate stickers, the handlebar moustache and goatee, the pink bandanna, and since we had no parrot, the plastic Iguana, Arthur, on her shoulder. Now that's one unique pirate!
Adam loved the super duper large plastic coins (er, doubloons) we found at the dollar store, but we ended up leaving them in the car. They didn't fit in our pockets.
Mmmm, pirate cake!
It's a shame it's so blurry. I love his excitement. Sugar rush!
Pirate entertainment! (They had a good chuckle over Mary's Iguana)
Arthur enjoyed his first pirate event. Mary just earned him yesterday at school for good behavior. Yea!
Goof ball
Trying on sister's patch. It wasn't a hit.
What a fun evening. Luckily, it's finally starting to cool off and it was really comfortable eating outside. So tomorrow, it's back to work on the house...cleaning, trying to put things away and Doug's busy assembling a huge playset in the backyard. Busy, busy, busy.

Looks like a great event. You can tell by the kids faces, and what beautiful faces they are, that they had a great time. Tell Mary congrats on gettin Arthur.
