Because today was Mary's day off of school, we headed to Virginia beach to play in the sand. (Believe it or not, this was our first trip to the beach since we've moved here).
Because we still don't have our shipment from Okinawa yet (psst, it's supposed to be delivered this Friday), we have no beach toys and had to be creative with a plastic spoon, fork, 2 cups and 2 Chuck E. Cheese token cups.
Because my kids are so creative, they didn't even care about the sand toys. Mary had a fabulous time digging a huge hole.
Adam had a great time climbing in the hole.
...so did Mary.
Because my kids love a good challenge, we ate peanut butter sandwiches on the beach. Yum, the sand adds a nice crunch.
Because he's so stinkin' cute...
(He's yelling, "PLANE!")
Adam had a blast. You can't help but smile.
Because I love my children today...
