Cookies!

A great way to help pass the time on a rainy, blustery afternoon is by making cookies.  Mary helped me make some simple sugar cookies mixed with a little food coloring this afternoon.  We had a great time making hearts and stars in different colors...and then mixing them all together to make a rainbow.  Afterward, we just had to taste our creations.  Mary enjoyed decorating hers with icing and about half the bottle of sugar sprinkles that "accidentally" poured onto her cookie.  Adam just had a large dollop of red icing which he quickly licked off and made a wonderful ooey, gooey mess.  Before we knew it, it was time to start working on dinner.  Mission accomplished!
