Keeping My Fingers Crossed

We ventured out to ballet class yesterday.  Mary's finally better and Adam seems to have peaked and is on the road to recovery.  I hate having sick kids.  While Mary was dancing her little heart away, one of the other moms asked me what our plans for Mother's Day are.  I bragged that my wonderful husband totally surprised me by getting us reservations at the Officer's club for brunch.  She said, "Oh, that's great!  I think I'll keep quiet and see if my husband surprises me too."  Umm, I don't know this woman very well and I certainly don't know her husband, but this sounds like a bad idea to me.  I'll be curious what her mood is next Thursday at dance class, but for now, I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

Always better to drop a few clues, than to have hurt feelings! Gram Mesta taught me that! Mom

I agree 100%. I've learned that lesson the hard way.
