I Love My Daughter

I love my daughter for the things she says, the things she does, for the things she's yet to accomplish in life.  She's happy, she's sad, she's disappointed, she's goofy.  She gives the best hugs, the best nose kisses, the best surprises.  Tonight, Adam woke up crying, crying, crying.  He's cutting two teeth at the same time.  It hurts.  He cries, I hold him and rock and rock and rock...and sing his favorite song "Twinkle, Twinkle".  It's the only song that works.  Mary ran into his room, she ran out, she came back with a special blanket for him "to make him feel better".  She sat with us.  She sang "Twinkle, Twinkle".  She stroked his head in rhythm with the song.  She offered Teddy Bear.  She helped me give him medicine and ran for his pacifier.  She was the most loving sister, the best helper and a reminder, that she's the best daughter.  I feel so incredibly blessed.  I love my daughter.
