So worth the 2 bucks

Jusco is one of the Japanese shopping centers close by our house. It has a big arcade section and a bunch of tiny stores. One of them is the Hello Kitty store. Luckily, Mary hasn't quite found the appeal of Hello Kitty (it's pretty expensive stuff even though it's from Japan), but she LOVES popcorn and they have a pretty cool popcorn machine. It only costs 200 yen (approx $2). She used to be satisfied just looking at the machine. However, at our last trip, she saw a kid actually GET popcorn and she realized that it works. Ever since then, all she could talk about was getting popcorn from Jusco. Today, we went. I will say, it was worth the $ just to see how happy it made her.
There were 3 flavor choices: mortar saltiness, blank, and caramel taste. I crossed my fingers and hoped that mortar saltiness was plain with salt. It was. Yea!

Surprisingly, it was quite delicious. She shared a small handful with me and then proceeded to gobble up the rest. Good thing it was a small bag.

Better have the 200 yen with you whenever you go there. This may match Laura discovering the ice cream truck actually sold ice cream. Thanks, Rose.

Ha! She already asked to go again today. I told her it's a special treat that she can have when she's really good, but not every day or even every week. We'll see how long that holds her.
