Licking the bowl clean. It's hard to tell, but there are glops of yogurt on the rug behind her.

quiet + baby = trouble
Why is it whenever Mary is quiet, I can't relax and think "oh, she's being so good"? Nope, she's usually into something. This morning, I was checking e-mail and she was nice and quiet watching sesame street. I heard the nice pitter patter of baby feet coming to join me. She had her bowl of yogurt that she didn't finish at breakfast (that was left on the dining room table). "How cute! She's eating her yogurt." That's what I thought until I walked out in the living room. Yogurt spilled everywhere. Big glops all over the floor and the rug. My fault completely. I just shook my head and pulled out the rug cleaner...after I grabbed the camera, of course. The pictures don't do it justice.
At least she wanted to help me clean up. Thanks, Mary.

And you'd think it would get better as they get older. But Lilly is 8 and just this morning I found globs of cherry red go-gurt on the front?!?! of my dresser. I knew she managed to get it on her shoulder and knee last night, but I missed the front of the dresser. I hope the neon food coloring doesn't soak in and stain the wood! And at least Mary wants to help clean up. Lilly just stared at the globs on her uniform and said, "Ok, jeez Mom, I'll wipe it off in a minute!"
